LFW TREND: LET THE SUNSHINE IN

Posted by Fashion Junior at Large

We've noticed that lots of designers are taking the Summer theme rather literally this LFW after seeing sunshine yellow shades pop up at many of the shows. At Margaret Howell, Mulberry and Christopher Raeburn, there were yellow raincoats which is a nice English nod of irony- we know we probably won't be wearing our yellow under the rays but more likely under the umbrella.

Blue has also appeared at key shows. At Jonathan Saunders, Miami was a key reference. The designer said his blue was like the colour  of pills. Richard Nicoll said his shade was 'Laura Palmer' (from Twin Peaks). We, more cheerfully, like to see the blue/ yellow combinations as reminiscent of sea and sun.
